large double-cone vase
h 35cmthis vase is built in three sections.
a bowl-shaped segment forms the base and
the shoulder-section is a large cone.
these two parts were thrown seperately,
then joined and rethrown.
finally the short neck was thrown directly
on the assembled shape.
itīs an impressive display-piece that is
content with itself and does not really
need flowers to shine.
the sharp edge where the two main segments
are joined is an expressive detail that likens
the piece to african and oceanic tribal art.
