irregular platter

an irregular slab plate with a bit of character.
as is usual in slab plate making, this piece was
cut from a big lump of clay using guide boards
and a wire.
but instead of using the first slice, the last slice
was used in this case.
the irregular edges are the outlines of the
lump and the dented surface is actually the side
of the slab that rested on the table.
can be used to serve anything from antipasti
to sushi
