faceted kohiki plates

made from a dark stoneware clay dug locally.
they are simple round plates that have been
faceted with a knife when leather hard.
after dipping them in porcelain slip, I quickly
wiped the slip off the base, which resulted in
nice dark-brown and white patterns.
fired in oxidation at about 1200°C with a clear
apple wood ash glaze
