b.wurtz bean plates
top Ø 5,5cm, base Ø 11cmthey are inspired by american artist B.Wurtz´s work
with painted tinfoil containers.
"mamesara" is the smallest kind of plate in the world
of japanese tableware, literally meaning "bean plate".
the usable are in these plates, which are actually upturned
bowls, is very small indeed.
this area has been painted with a red overglaze,
a platinum overglaze covers the rest.
on the inside the plates are left totally unglazed
and could be used as small bowls if turned
"upside down"
