onggi triple vase

three coiled vases on a slab.
made from my normal stoneware clay, but with plenty of
coarse sand added in place of grog.
the grains of sand penetrate the glaze surface in many places
as they melt in the firing and create an interesting texture.
I used a simple mud-glaze, modeled after the korean Onggi-glaze.
the "vases" were made seperately and without bottom
and were only placed in position for the final firing,
when the melting glaze fused them with the base
