the holes were originally envisioned for
attaching an iron handle, but have
become a poetic formal feature.
when the bisque-fired piece is dipped into
the glaze bucket, the excess glaze sometimes
runs in finger-shaped drops down the side.
they are exceptionally decorative
on this bowl.
use for salad, fruit, etc.
