Ø 13cmthis chawan is also made from my local clay.
it turns almost black when high-fired and has clearly
reached its refractory limit at the temperature I use.
in reduction fire it would definitely fold.
it is completely covered with a porcelain engobe, similar
to the hakeme variety, but in this case it´s dipped instead
of brushed on. the dark brown and white contrast
